Well, it seems the peaceful pond scene took an unexpected turn this morning/afternoon/evening. Our little friend/neighbor/resident, a rather plump green anole/lizard/skink found himself stuck fast in one of the pipes leading to the pond's filter. It was quite a sight - he was wiggling/flailing/scuttling about, clearly confused/stressed/alarmed. Thankfully, we were able to extract him with ease before he could get injured/do any damage/cause a commotion. He seems fine/okay/unharmed now and is back to enjoying the sunshine/shade/warmth of his usual habitat/perch/spot.

Stuck and Exposed: Turtle's Terrifying Tight Spot

A miniature sea turtle named Shelly found herself in a horrible situation. She had roamed too far from the shore and was caught trapped in a tight crack in the rocks. The tide was coming in, and Shelly felt that she was {soon submerged. Her little legs kicked to free herself, but the {rocksurface was too smooth.

Fear filled Shelly's mind. She could be spotted by a group of curious seals, but they didn't help her. The approaching tide foamed ominously, as if teasing at Shelly's plight.
